With recent funding comes another batch of exciting new features. We are planning on building on top of previous research and development from the Center for Open and Sustainable Learning. This new functionality will integrate the Open Educational Resource (OER) recommender system so that users can better find and use these powerful resources. We will continue to blog about this opportunity and what it means for the platform.
Teachers Without Borders and Cisco are continuing their support of the Luvfoo platform with the addition of Docutell to assist in ongoing development hosting. This is exciting news as it means continue feature development and bug fixes. We are excited to see the continued contributions and participation of such a wonderful organization. We hope that organizations find the software equally valuable and we look forward to building a community of developers and users.
We are still actively working on Luvfoo and adding more features. We recently had to recreate the github repository. You can still find the code here:

We will be working on adding more functionality in the coming months that further enable the collaboration of individuals in disparate locations. We’ll also be working on developing a more generic version of the software and will be looking to the community for direction and hopefully development assistance.
Luvfoo is moving along with lightening speed. It still isn’t ready for general deployment, but we are working on that. We are working on a release for today that will include basic CMS capabilities. Some might think us foolish for adding all these features, but this effort is in response to actual demands from Teachers Without Borders. I have noticed several postings in the forums of different social networks where users are demanding similar functionality. The fact is it is hard to have a website - even a social network site - where you can’t add webpages. A simple CMS takes care of this problem and prevents the site owner from having to figure out how to integrate another application (CMS) into their site. Look for another Luvfoo release sometime tonight.
